Summer Slow Down, Poetry Workshop (4 weeks)
Westport Writers’ Workshop
Henry James wrote, “Art lives upon discussion.” In this workshop, we will practice what poems ask from us: slow down, revel in language and rhythm, and be curious and exploratory. We’ll discuss elements of craft by “walking slowly” through each participant’s work: How does the poem begin? Or, how, as readers, are we invited to enter the poem? And then, how does the poet move from beginning to end?
