Coaching

Are you…

ready to take the next step?
ready for a change?
ready to follow your own path?

willing to leave your comfort zone?
willing to think outside the box?
willing to embrace presence over perfection?

able to commit to yourself?
able to make time for yourself?
able to see your needs as worth it?

Yes, I’m Ready

Areas of Work

Personal

Personal development is first, and most importantly, about personal awareness, honesty, and accountability. Tapping into your authenticity and integrity strengthens your inner-connectedness, which is the bedrock to developing connection and belonging. Whether you’re looking for a new career, figuring out how to accomplish tasks, or maneuvering through a life-changing event, remaining present and pushing through is difficult when you can’t figure out what to do next.

I’m certified by the Life Purpose Institute, which is “committed to providing the highest quality of training and support for those who want to serve others and make a positive and lasting contribution.”

Community

Community leaders either take charge of a community like an HOA or are thrust upon an issue by sheer need to commit, like to a local cause. Individuals and ad hoc groups have big hearts for their communities but don’t always know how to tap into their strengths to work together and get tasks accomplished. Some people may even want to turn their community work into public leadership roles like county commissioner or mayor.

The Life Purpose Institute is accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), who defines coaching as “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.”

Workplace

An individuals potential is different than a workplace. And yet, it is the culmination of individuals that move large groups forward. Improving workplace dynamics or making a pivot in goal and direction is cumbersome. Making sure you nurture authenticity, integrity, and openness in the workplace provides everyone a greater sense of purpose and motivation to your cause.

I’ve completed the The Harwood Catalytic Guide program, which is “an intensive learning experience for individuals who have a deep desire to guide and lead organizational and community efforts that create lasting impact.”

My approach

The heart of my approach is the same whether I’m working one-on-one or with a group. I’m going to ask you a lot of questions, use the tools in my coaching toolbox, and focus my creative, strategic thinking on how to best help you help yourself. Think of me as your brainstorm buddy, your strategic partner, and your personal cheerleader.

I have an instinct to understand people, anticipate their needs, and listen to unvoiced questions. As a natural mediator and believer in the journey as a destination, I’m passionate about helping you find purpose and connection in everyday occurrences.

Achieving goals and aspirations–however small–is not only life-affirming, it builds confidence and creates momentum that otherwise didn’t exist. All of which leads to a sense of belonging and connection with other people–family, friends, and community.

Don’t know your goals and aspirations? No worries! I’ll help you figure them out.

Why work with me?

I’ve been stuck and alone. Really stuck. Really alone. I found connection and momentum by first listening to my inner, creative voice. It played the same tape reels over and again: share your story to help others. When I was ready, I sought help by enlisting allies–family, friends, therapists, colleagues, and eventually, my community. It was hard. Really hard. It can still be hard. I want to help you through really stuck, really hard moments.

Shame once kept me from believing I had something valuable to contribute to society. After I began to heal, I integrated into community, first virtually and through writing, and then locally and in-person with a community-wide initiative “that aims to empower community members to take action on the things that matter to them.” I’m a rugged individualist who believes in the power of community, a 50% introvert/50% extrovert who needs time to myself and time with others, a kinesthetic and visual learner and thinker who needs to move through different physical spaces to thrive. And, I believe in-person human interaction fosters a sense of belonging and connection amongst people, which is necessary to combatting our loneliness epidemic.

My strengths

Clifton Strengths, to be exact.

Learner

The process of learning, more than the result, is what enables me to thrive in dynamic environments and project-based assignments where I am learning a lot about a new subject matter–like you or your community.

Developer

Being a believer in process over result, I can see the raw talent and untapped potential in others. I can spot small signs of improvement, bring them to the forefront and help you fit them into your goals and aspirations.

Introspector

(Wait. Is that a word?) My natural introspection process–reflection and deep thinking–allows me insight to help others when they are overwhelmed. This process also helps projects in the beginning big-picture phase to move forward without much backtracking.

Free consultations available to see if we are a fit. If these specialties don’t quite fit your needs, please reach out anyway. As a creative, I grow and change all the time and so do my areas of knowledge, experience, and comfort zone.
